The Katherine Hall parking lot is an important community resource that serves residents and visitors throughout Ware Shoals. The lot is used by the Presbyterian Church, the local food bank, the Catfish Feastival, community events, and many other activities throughout the year. It also provides much-needed parking for visitors and businesses in the surrounding area.

For many years, the parking lot has been in need of significant repairs. Thanks to a grant from the State Economic and Infrastructure Development Fund, along with additional state funding, the Town of Ware Shoals is now moving forward with plans to resurface and improve the parking lot. The project is currently out for bid.

The Town is hopeful that available funding will also allow for the installation of new lighting, which would improve safety and make the parking area more useful for evening events and activities.

This project represents another important step in improving Ware Shoals infrastructure and investing in facilities that benefit the entire community.
